The DCO World Title is the main title defended in DCO. It was originally present in Developing CAW Organization, as well as WEDF's adaptation. The first champion was crowned in a tournament involving the entire roster. The belt was originally retired on 3rd Febuary 2010 but was later reactivated. It had officially become a CAWllision Series Title in Summer 2011.
After becoming a CAWllision title, it became open for anyone to hold title matches. However, starting October 2012, the title is no longer available for free use, and is now exclusive to DCO Webmatches on APteranodon.
On May 28th, 2012, the DCO INTANESHENEL Championship was merged with the DCO World Championship after INTANESHENEL Champion JBL defeated World Champion Detective John Kimble to win the World title. Following the unification, he World Title ended up becoming a sort of interactive free use title (similar to the CAW Champion of Champions Title) and changes hands countless times. As of 3/9/2013, Reigns that occurred between JBL's unification of the titles and the rebirth of DCO as a legitimate fed (starting with Craven Moorehead's first reign) are no longer considered canon.
The title was brought to New-WWE in May 2014 when champion Bo Dallas arrived with it in tow on episode 316 of Raw. Shortly thereafter, the word "Heavyweight" was dropped from the championship's name, as to differentiate it from the already existing World Heavyweight Championship.
Following Extreme Rules 8, it was replaced in New-WWE by the newly introduced NXT Championship. The DCO World Title was vacated and sent back to DCO. The vacant title was won by Slab Puente in a battle royal in November 2015.
