The CCL World Heavyweight Championship is the top title in the CAW Champions League. The first champion was determined in a gauntlet match. Aaron Alexander defeated CJ Wizard, Armageddon, and Thanos to become the first champion on February 16, 2010 at CCL Adrenaline #2 in a Gauntlet Match. The current champion is Ray Gettys, who defeated Casey Gordon and The Great D in a Hell In A Cell Match on August 8, 2015 at The Big One. Gettys is on his first reign as champion.
Being a professional wresting championship, it is not win via direction competition; it is instead won by via a predetermined ending to a match or awarded to a wrestler because of a wrestling angle. There have been 16 reigns by 13 wrestlers with no vacancies.
CCL has ultimately made this championship one of the least prestigious world titles in CAW. Brent Harvanator's words about CCL's world championship are constantly confirmed when he mentioned "CCL plays nothing but favorites to give his friends eHandjobs."
