The DWA Voltage World Heavyweight Championship was the second highest ranked championship in the DWA and the primary championship on the Voltage brand. The first champion was announced when DWA Voltage Commissioner Barry Bonds awarded the title to Victor Fang on the premiere episode of DWA Voltage. The final champion is Johnny Cage, who defeated Nightwing in a Last Man Standing Match on July 4, 2010 at Destructionmania II. The championship is now retired due to the company folded in 2012.
Being a professional wrestling championship, it is not won via direct competition; it is instead won via a predetermined ending to a match or awarded to a wrestler because of a wrestling angle. There have been 4 reigns by four wrestlers with no vacanies.
