New Era of Sports Entertainment (2011-present)[]

McDermott would make his debut in NESE talking shit about Jerry Atric. McDermott would make his in-ring debut against Inspector Shetty, and would over come Shetty with technical skills, defeating him with an Ankle lock. Atric was annoyed at how McDermott had schooled his rookie, and challenged him to a match at Rondo of Blood, which McDermott would accept. On the same night, McDermott would help Lance Storm attack Christopher Walken, revealing himself as a member of Team Canada. On the Episode before Rondo of Blood, Walken would defeat McDermott, but McDermott had managed to kick out of Walken's finisher, That Kick is Un-Fucking Believable. In the pre-show to Rondo for Blood, he would defeat Atric by making him submit to the Sharpshooter. The injuries that Atric suffer would lead to his retirement.

McDermott would then further his alliance with Team Canada, replacing Christian in a losing effort against Scott Steiner and Christopher Walken. McDermott would be apart of Team Canada's brutal attack on Scott Steiner, trying to injure him and take him out of the World Championship Elimination Chamber match at Springtime for Hitler. McDermott would be rewarded with Steiner's spot in the match, but when Steiner returned, McDermott had to compete with Steiner for the spot, and despite a good effort from McDermott, Steiner would defeat him and end his World Championship hopes.

Malcolm McDermott would again come close to gaining a World Championship match, in a no.1 contenders Battle Royal match, but was ultimately the runner up, as The Undertaker would win. However, his 2nd place granted him a 3I Championship shot against Deadpool at the G1 Climax finals. In the build up to the finals, McDermott would team up with the Undertaker and defeat Deadpool and Scott Steiner. McDermott, however, would once again come up just short in the big match, losing to Deadpool in his 3I Championship shot.

When NESE returned in 2015 at Event Horizon, McDermott would win the Zeo Japan Championship, defeating Malik Brown for the vacant title.
